Every organization has “values” and “mission statements.” Most companies even post these on the walls and post them on their website. The difference is Amazon’s obsessive adherence to their principles which is, in effect, the DNA of the organisation.

Listening to John Rossman is a fascinating insight into one of the worlds most successful organisations, and he delivers a ton of great messages to all who lead and manage people.

The book that John says had a huge impact on his career is Peter Drucker’s The Effective Executive.

His daily routine is based on the “early to bed, early to rise” principle where he gets up every day at 4.30am to complete his workout which he says is foundational to his day.

John is giving away a free sample chapter of his book and a poster with the visuals of the 14 Amazon Leadership Principles and you can download at www.johnrossman.com/winning.
